THE STRONTIUM STORY
A missed flight, 5 hours of sipping coffee, and a whole lot of passion.
These were the humble beginning of what is today known as Strontium. It always takes two to tango, and it was the technological expertise and economic wisdom of its founders Vivian Singh and Anshuman Gupta which gave the organization its start in the year 2002. A robust brainstorming session over 6 cups of coffee at a hotel café – the result of a missed flight, soon had the pair making the decision to leave their corporations behind to create their own. Backed by their experience in the technological and economic arenas combined with their entrepreneurial instincts and international exposure, they built the company, one brick at a time. Soon, they grew from a single office in Singapore into offices across South East Asia, China, Taiwan, Australia, India and USA.
Guided by the dream of creating a company that most would want to be part of or associated with, while never losing sight of building an organization with a strong work ethic – this were the ideologies that led to a culture of never compromising; be it in its quality, people and interactions with its partners. These tenets are the foundation upon which the company has built its reputation, from being Singapore’s top player to earning its place amongst global leaders in the memory market.
Whilst there may be no more missing of flights, the countless cups of coffee and tireless passion for excellence persist.
